Advanced Training Institute (ATI) Chennai  was established in 1968 to cater the need of industrial workers and technical trainers. It is a one of the field institute under Directorate General  of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Several shor-term skill-based hands-on training on various trade (13 trades) are offered. To cater the need of chemical, oil & gas industries, Industrial Chemistry (I.C.) section was established. It offers training on modern instrumental method of chemical analysis using highly sophisticated analytical instruments. All courses at ATI designed in such way that, it will bridge the supply and demand gap in the job market. Trainees are immensly benefited because of their market-ready skills, improved Employability and wining edge over their competitors during the interview. It also shows that incumbent is pro-active in career development and strong hunger for learning new things. Following training programs are offered:

  • Process Safety Management (PSM)
Why should Attend: It gives practical approach to prevent unwanted releases of hazardous chemicals, especially into locations that could expose employees and others to serious hazards. Trainees will be able to implement, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 29 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) 2910.119, to prevent release of hazardous chemical.

  • Spectrophotometric Method of Analysis 
Why should Attend: It gives an overview of the operation of UV-vis spectrophotometer and prepare the various solutions required for analysis. Trainees will be able to operate the spectrophotometer and prepare the appropriate solution for analysis. They also will be able to understand and analyse the results of spectrophotometer.

  • Analysis by Gas Chromatograph
Why should attend: Trainees will be able to operate gas chromatograph and analyze the results.

  • Water Analysis
Why should attend: Trainees will be able to analyze and understand the various parameters of given water sample such as PH, DO, turbidity, SS, TSS, TS color etc.

  • Quality Control in industrial chemical analysis
Why should attend: Chemists, technician and quality manager who want to understand uncertainity estimation as NABL requirment, minimize errors and improve the  quality of results.
